Why should I choose Paul Rosen as my eye surgeon?

In my current role as a consultant in the NHS, I teach the junior surgeons. What I also do is teach nationally and internationally, both within Europe and in the Americas on eye surgery and cataract surgery in particular.

I’ve been very fortunate to have been the President of the UK and Ireland Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. And then I had the great honour to be elected as the President of the European Society of Cataracts and Refractive Surgeons.

And as part of this role I conducted a strategic review and developed the Society which now has gone to host a meeting of 7,000 or more delegates. As part of that role, I also take part in the teaching programs, again both within the meetings, the annual congresses and also at satellite meetings which we call the ESCRS academies. More recently I’d been appointed as a member of the NICE Cataract Guidelines Committee and also on the Refractive Surgery Subcommittee of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

So throughout my career, I played a very active role in teaching and training, both locally, nationally and internationally.
