How can AMD be prevented?

I think that it is very difficult to prevent AMD. I think stopping smoking is a very good start and that’s in association with development of neovascular AMD or wet AMD. I think there’s been a lot of talk about vitamin supplements and while there is no clear benefit, there is no harm in people taking vitamins and there may be some help in preventing progression if the condition does occur.
